Operations Center
The Network Operations Center (NOC) is located at the RedDotNet corporate headquarters in Vista, California. The NOC is the virtual nerve center at the core of the RedDotNet Platform responsible for all content delivery, system-wide maintenance, remote diagnostics and technical support.
Key Features
- Maintains the RedDotNet Network – The RedDotNet Platform is managed by the NOC. Every device at each retail location is continuously monitored to ensure that all systems remain in continuous working condition.
- Remote diagnostics – Should a device at an in-store location not be functioning properly, NOC personnel can remotely trouble-shoot and attempt to correct any issues minimizing any potential down-time.
- Provides 24/7 technical support – Retailers have access to toll-free phone and email support. Any issues that cannot be resolved remotely are addressed by our field service technicians.
- Distributes and updates content – As the primary repository of catalog and other content, database and digital media updates are “pushed” to each Content Server on the RedDotNet Network from the NOC at regular intervals. For stores without broadband access, data can also be supplied on DVD.
- Provides statistics and usage data– The NOC tracks the activity of each Dot as well as the type of queries being submitted by in-store customers. Data is collected, and activity reports can be used to analyze product mix and store traffic.
