No. Whether you have one store or 500, we have a RedDotNet Solution for you. Our Dots have been deployed across a wide range of store sizes and industries.
The general lead time for large roll-outs is 4-6 weeks.
The RedDotNet system is priced extremely competitively and designed to be a turn-key solution, which includes equipment, installation, remote system management, content management and updates, as well as access to the RedDotNet Network Operations Center's (NOC's) toll-free technical support hotline. There is an initial capital expenditure for equipment and an on-going content management, licensing and monitoring service.
RedDotNet does not charge for this service and has had extensive experience working with brand managers to ensure brand compliance.
No. This is a complimentary service.
Credit card numbers are taken directly from the credit card reader and never displayed. The customer’s address information is removed after 2-minutes of inactivity (time out). RedDotNet transfers all identifiable data to the retailer and does not store information.
The RedDotNet platform is a closed system, so customers and store staff do not have access, and it runs on a Virtual Private Network (VPN) preventing access to the platform from the Internet.
Integration and Implementation
The RedDotNet system consists of:
Due to its size and shape it can be strategically placed throughout the store. This includes end-caps, product bins, mounted on a walls or shelving or even as a standalone fixture.
Depending on the number of Dots deployed 1-2 content servers are installed in the store’s equipment or communications room.
Enabling an online 24/7 connection to RedDotNet’s superior Network Operations Center (NOC). This is generally implemented in the store’s telephone room and/or associated in-store network and power cables.
At minimum, we require the store to dedicate a telephone (modem) line to the RedDotNet system. Power and network cabling is also the responsibility of the store.
Content is updated by broadband via the RedDotNet Network, and requires no intervention by your staff. Alternative options are available for stores with no broadband service.
The RedDotNet Platform is fully networked and usage data reports are generated by the Network Operations Center (NOC) for use in data mining. Metrics are compiled for each store, including number and type of products sampled, Dot traffic patterns, and other statistics. On a custom basis, RedDotNet can generate reports geared toward specific retailer requirements.
RedDotNet uses 2D, LED based technology and all commonly used formats are supported.
Virtually none! The Dots are available in 9 or 13 inches diameter and can be mounted in the product bins, placed on end-caps, installed on a wall, or placed as a stand-alone fixture.
Ultimately the retailer controls the Dot’s content. Specifically on a day-to-day basis RedDotNet will assimilate, process and distribute the data. In the case of music, movies and games, the content is directly downloaded from All Media Guide (AMG). We can customize/filter the data to suit your needs.
RedDotNet accesses the in-store systems remotely over its Virtual Private Network (VPN) for troubleshooting.
